"What did you do?"

"I started drinking."

"What?"

"I drank gallons and gallons of beer until my blood stream was completely assimilated by alcohol. Yes, that was the best decision I ever made. I became a full-time alcoholic. When I was drunk, my wife's nagging sounded like the whispering of the ocean wave."

"When it was our eighth birthday, my mom bought a birthday cake for us. My father, came home late, brought a baseball bat with him," she paused and the air around her froze at the same moment. "It... It was not a gift and there was no game. He was utterly drunk. He had a fight with my mom and he..."
