| After an hour of ardent climbing, we reached the summit of the mountain range that might lead to the legendary Sable Mountain. It seemed the trail across the range is "ram accessible" only. After some rest and water stop, I noticed a few white dots across the far end of the mountain range. The white dots approach us in a rapid pace and soon identify themselves as eight harmless dall sheep. Soundless and emotionless, the sheep pass by us and ran towards the Sable Mountain. The wind subsided, the sheep vanished, and I began to doubt the reality of that magical experience. Luckily there are digital photos. |
