This player supports all the formats listed on the box wonderfully. I have tried the following DVD's and CD's and all worked great.
Regular store bought DVD's.
Home burned DVD-R and DVD-RW's video's.
Nero Created SVD to includes chapter selection support
Data DVD and CD which contains mpg videos. Each mpg video plays one right after another or you can select from a menu index which one to play. This includes the mpg videos created on my digital camera and copied to a DVD as a storage medium.
DVD-R burned in my burner using home video in avi format
CD with 200 plus MP3's burned on it. Displays index for picking songs individually or you can select to play random. Since my DVD player is connected to a stereo through the audio outputs, it doubles as a device for listening to songs through the stereo speakers.
Plays regular music cd's.
We will see how this holds up over a period of time, but I have an APEX DVD player that is over 3 years old and still works just fine. It was one of the first APEX DVD players that was marketed for $80.
