If you are finding that your 3x zoom is going in the opposite direction of what you want then get this wide angle lens.

I was impressed with the quality of the images that this lens can produce. There is very little distortion except when used at very short focal lengths.

The only downsides are the size of the lens, the weight, and the fact that it blocks the optical viewfinder.

A great lens at a reasonable price. I often use the Wide Angle Lens for panoramic shots and sometimes for indoor use. Great for scenic shots such as mountains or valleys, and also for interiors, real estate, etc.

When used indoors, an external flash or lighting is recommended. The lens partially obscures the built-in flash. And as with any wide angle, there is less light passing through the lens to the "film."

While is a small room during a dake-bonoist clicking session I am able to take photos of many people even when I've fairly close to them in proximity. Other Dake-Bonoist have expressed satisfaction with this lens as well.
