The size of the Advance is perfect for adult hands as well as child hands. Its perfectly laid out so your thumbs arent bumping together and wearing your knuckles to the bone. Its nice and lightweight so you're not resting this on your lap during long gameplay.
I like the backwards compatability of the system so I dont have to get rid of all my GB Color and original gameboy games. I also love the larger screen that doesnt make me go blind trying to squint to play.
The games available for the Advance are extensive and are classic Nintendo style games. Basically this system is like having a handheld super nintendo, you're not going to get the graphics of a Gamecube or Xbox and this isnt supposed to behave like that.
I do like that 2 AA batteries are included with the GBA... I'm always ticked off at companies that wont scrimp for a battery for their product.
I would love to see a GBA include at least one game with their system package so the system would be playable straight out of the box, but that may come in time.
For a handheld, this system is tops... just buy a light
