MLB SlugFest 20-03 offers exaggerated, supercharged baseball action. Featuring real Major League Baseball players, teams, and stadiums, the game puts the emphasis on adrenaline and over-the-top plays. Enormous muscle-bound players take the field and perform incredible defensive plays, including acrobatic diving catches and turbo-powered throws. While at the plate, gamers can dig in and unleash mammoth blasts clear out of the park. The animations are detailed to the point where you can view players on the field chewing gum, talking to one another, and cheering for their teammates. The game sets the tone with an original baseball anthem, "Riot at the Bat Rack," performed by the heavy metal group Dry Kill Logic.

I am extremely dissapointed that MLB would lend its name to such a shoddy product. Pitching is not difficult -- for the most part -- but the fact that the opposition hits the ball an average of (I found) 89.7% of the time is. Hitting is ridiculously difficult -- not only can the pitcher throw an infinite number of 107-mph fastballs without running out of turbo, when you actually make contact (an extreme rarity), it conviently lands right in a fielder's glove. Fielders are extremely slow, though their throws are accurate. This game is not worth the plastic its case is made out of. An extreme atrocity.

I have never seen a product this aweful... a baseball game where the players fight on the bases? Ridiculous. A game where it is virtually impossible to hit the ball, and any hit you get goes stright into the fielders glove? Unbelievable. This is the worst game I have ever played. Thank god I rented this, because if I had purchased it I would have to shoot myself.
