STJK:JA played pretty well on my system (P4 2.0ghz, 384MB RAM, 32MB ATI video card), and only locked up once. The gameplay was smooth, the graphics looked great, and the challenges were a lot of fun.

Here's the game in a nutshell. You play a character of your choosing (human male or female, or an alien) and your design (even the clothes on your back are custom). You're on your way to begin Jedi training, when something happens. You soon find yourself on joint adventures with your "master," or, if deemed easily done, by yourself.

The game's scope is vast - lots of different worlds (including Hoth), and lots of NPC's. The best part, though, is what happens when you become a Jedi Knight (not an easy task, by the way). While you get to custom design your own lightsaber in the beginning, you get to choose your blade AND fighting style at the game's midpoint - and yes, you can choose a double-bladed saber, just like Darth Maul. Slaying dozens of Sith followers with the double bladed saber was just plain fun!

What's not so good? There are quite a few of those silly little puzzles (e.g., throw a switch to deactivate a force field, but the field comes back on in three seconds), but other than that, everything is well put together.

If you've played the previous Jedi Knight games, you'll really enjoy playing this one. Oh, yeah - one more thing: at a point during the game, you'll have to make a choice. Right before you decide, save the game right there. There are two endings to the game, and this way you'll be able to do both.

Jedi Outcast is SO COOL! If you liked the last 2 jedi knight games then you are going to love this one. You play as Kyle Katarn again except now you have given up the force. On a mission to a detention mining camp something (I'm not saying anything) makes Kyle pick up his lightsaber and call back the powers that he had long forgotten.
This game's graphics are very nice, an upgraded version of the Quake III engine, but still, I had actually expected better. At times the graphics can seem a bit blocky and not very fluid. I was dissapointed at the way the space ships took off, because it looks the way they did in Jedi Knight (they kinda just lifted up in a straight path, stopped for a second then went forward ina a straight path). Other than that this game is all gold. As many other people have said, the death animations are awesome. I like how now the Force Jump is holding down the jump key. It makes it easier. Force saber throw is now just the secondary fire for the lightsaber.
... the Multiplayer experience is awesome, just like in Jedi Knight. One thing I'm afraid of though is hackers. In Jedi Knight there were a lot of hackers.

This game is awesome go buy it now.

Can't say I'm too impressed. The new sabers are a nice addition, all be it available a bit late in the game. The new moves are nothing but eye candy, as is the character creation. The light/dark choice was a complete let down, after playing DF2:JK. The mission tier system, while a good concept is seriously flawed. Some of the force powers from JO multiplayer are a nice addition to SP. The multiplayer side could be good, if not for the community. It's basically dumbed-down JO. I'm not too keen on the force restriction on special moves, ahh no more rage-speed-DFA destroying. Nobody seems to fight, instead everyone stands around & chats, & punish people with their user made mods, should you try. EX; server admin can kill you, put you to 'sleep', & other ridiculous things through 'admin-mods' which are basically server side cheats, for as much as lighting your saber. Not exactly the games fault, but the communities. Just letting those who play games for the MP competitive scene know that they may want to skip this title, as I should have.
