massively multiplayer

Here is for the game designers...just in case you read this...1) what I like about Diablo II...five character classes, cool spells, lots of magical items, unlimited replayability, the BEST character development system of any RPG, the way different items change your character's appearance. What I DONT LIKE-all the little useless magical items I find all the time, the way you need a bazillion XP points to raise levels after say, oh, level twenty eight or so (the monsters are NOT worth enough points on higher difficulty levels!), the game is a memory pig, the monsters are WAY TOO HARD to fight on nightmare, and IMPOSSIBLE on hell. I had to get my friend to hack me a 93rd level paladin to finally win the game (he has over 4000 hit points, does about 1,500 points of damage, and yes he has been killed on Hell difficulty level). The bigest disappointment of all...the ending. I beat Diablo on Hell, I got a few magical items...and...nothing. The game did not start over (like I had hoped it would, so I could redo all those quests), and the magical items were nothing all that great. I think there should be some way to restart the quests, so the player can collect more skill points. They are way too difficult to come by after you reach a high level. One cool thing I found out about is the cow level. Beat the game once, go to the first act, put Writ's leg in the hordradic cube with a full blue and brown book, combine, and walla! A gate to the cow level! It's full of enemies which look like cows. They have lots of treasure too.

Diablo 1 was an awesome game. Battlenet worked terrific except for the hackers. In Diablo, hundreds of weapon selections, 3 character selections each with unique characteristics. Diablo 2 Beta had a few bugs with the monster attack limit. On level 1, a skeleton could deal you 100 damage. In the final version, all these bugs will be fixed. Each character (of which there are 5) had 30 unique skills and spells, and different specialities in weapon wielding as well, I.E, an Amazon is a Bow and Javelin wielder yet the Amazon could wield a staff, but it would be pretty bad. You have more room in your pack to put things and you can also run, yet there is a limit to your running, it is called charisma. Some character's have more mana and health than others I.E, the Barbarian has hardly any mana but a whole lot of vitality. This game has excellent graphics and a terrific storyline. Get this game, it is awesome, you won't regret it.

This game would have been a MASTERPIECE, had it have not been for the stupidity of blizzard. This game WOULD be extremely fun, but there is one flaw, and this one flaw ruins how much I enjoyed the game: The damn saving option. This really pissed me off. After a hard 3 hours straight of battling, you find out you have to run off to work, so you save and quit the game. After a hard 8 hours of work, you look forward to playin the pretty fun game of Diablo 2 once again. you pop the Cd in the drive, start up the game....WHAT THE HELL?? I JUST BEAT ALL THESE ENEMIES! yes that is right. After you save and quit, the enemies return. sure, its a good way to earn experience, but i think it goes a little too far when you have to defeat about 200 enemies and spend about an hour JUST to get back to where you left off on your last play. At first it's not that bad, mainly because the enemies are not that hard, and there are not many of them. but once i got to the third act, i got so frustrated i just quit the game and didnt play it for a month. This gets so frustrating and time-consuming it is unreal.

I loved the first Diablo, and right after i beat it i went out and bough diablo 2 with an expansion pack RIGHT AWAY, expecting this FANTASTIC game, and all i got was a 3 hour excitement from the first 2 acts. Now, i am going to auction it off of ebay as quick as possible, as the sight of the box i have reminds me of the mistake i made of spending a total of 40 dollars on such crap
