D-Link DUB-H4 USB 2 0 4-Port Hub

Rating: 4.13/5 from 15 reviews USB mouse periodically freezesI have a laptop without PS/2 ports so I needed a USB hub to connect an external keyboard (MS Natural Elite) and mouse (MS Optical Wheel Mouse). Unfortunately, the mouse freezes for a complete second during high CPU times (about every ~1-10 minutes). I bought a much smaller SIIG USB 2.0 mobile/notebook hub (not the "mini hub" one which is bigger), and it doesn't have these problems. With the SIIG, you don't have to use the AC adapter, unlike the D-Link. Works Great, and Installation was a breezeIt's truly a plug-and-play product, my laptop w/ Windows XP recognized it as soon as I plug it in. I am running an external USB 2.0 120 GB HD and a high speed CD-RW drive without any problem for over a week now. It comes with an external power supply so all bus powered device can be run from the hub, and it's much cheaper than other brands. No problems so farI've had the D-Link DUB-H4 USB 2.0 4-Port Hub for about a week now. I've been using it with a Dell notebook running Windows XP. So far, the only devices that I have connected to it are an 80 GB external hard drive, a multifunction printer/scanner, and my Nikon Coolpix 3200 digital camera, all of which are devices that support USB 2.0. And like my title says, I've had no problems so far. All of the devices are running at USB 2.0 speed, and everything is running fine. | ||||||||||||||||
