bad firmware worse technical support
Rating: 1/5
The product shipped with defective firmware which causes it to reboot every few minutes. Drives you crazy when you are browsing because your browser will lock up. Dlink has a firmware fix you can find on their website, but when you download it you will not know how to install it in the WAP. Even worse, when you visit their website AGAIN and search for the instructions, they are wrong! The instructions tell you you MUST use a crossover cable [purchase it without reimbusement] When you call technical support, you must penetrate to the 4th level before you can get the truth. There you will learn that a crossover cable is not needed. However,if you proceed without it you may void your warrantee. This is a company which is poorly managed and does not deserve your business, shipping a known defective product and not able to tell you how to fix it without runing the risk of desrtroying it.
The antennas are NOT removeable, so don't expect to use an external gain antenna with it.
