Drive with confidance, you will never be lost again. Garmin 2610 is worth every penny, with gas prices going through the roof. I have Microsoft XP and had no problem loading software and down loading maps. What can I say...its the best GPS on the market. I have been using GPS for 4-5 years and the improvements built into the 2610 has set it apart from all the competion...there is none! I'm a tech junkie...and I would not waiste my time writing this if I did not use and approve it!!! Everything about it is right on the money. Set it and leave the driving to GARMIN! If you know a better short cut, take it...2610 will get you there when you have no clue, at least close enough to get out and walk. My only hope is, It will last me at least 10 years...Then I will not complain, just buy a new one! Like having a real CO-Pilot (and I did not even get to mention all the loaded info and it is LOADED) Based on all the system can do..It is not worth mentioning what it can't do! If you don't plan on leaving out of 5 states, the 128 mb should do...If you want all of the east coast or west coast...get the 512 mb.
Just give me an address, name of restaurant, museum or attraction and I can get there!

The Streetpilot 2610 is excellent. It is so much easier to user then any other ones I have used in the past. Setup was a snap. The included Compact Flash Card is great. Touch screen is nice as well. Turn by turn directions by voice are great, keeps your eyes on the road.

I strongly recommend getting the garmin external antenna(about $60 extra from amazon) as it improves signal strength. Other then that, you are good to go.

The Garmin automotive navigation is a great item in which for those new comers who drive or ride from Florida or California. This little item makes it easy for regular travler to find their way around. So in times of going to the club in the next town or just driving around major one way streets this little gadge makes anyone a pro in getting to thier point of orgin. So travel a little safer whether you take the train in holland or the drive to El Paso, Tx. Here's to TRAVELING ON A SAFER LEVEL.
