1) England 12/04/2000 9:56:00 PM
England, the best way to visit England is to visit it's rural areas. |

2) Palace 12/04/2000 10:15:32 PM
This is where the Queen lives. I also watched the famous "Change of Guard" in here. But I saw more tourists than guards. The change of life guard in White Hall is less crowded |

3) Straford Upon Avon 12/04/2000 10:36:52 PM
London is a very expensive city. The best way to find cheap living is to escape from it. So I went to Straford Upon Avon where Shakespeare was born (or so it claimed). Note: the old man sitting in front of the clock tower is NOT Shakespeare. |

4) Shakespeare Birthplace 12/04/2000 10:38:04 PM
This is the playwright's birth house. It has been rebuilt and it cost money to go inside. |

5) Chipping Campden 12/04/2000 10:39:08 PM
I took the bus to Cotswolds. Here's a little town Chipping Campden. The name is funny. The thing in the town center is a market place where people used to sell stuffs. |
6) Morten In Marsh 12/04/2000 10:39:32 PM
I then took the bus to Morten in the Marsh. Another funny town with a funny name. It's where I finally decided to go back to WinchComb to see the Bellas Knapp, the false entrance to a 5000 year old tomb. |

7) Winchcombe Old Tomb 12/04/2000 10:40:28 PM
This is the Bellas Knapp. A fake entrance to the 5000 year old tomb. I wonder if this thing is worth a trip of two hours walking in wilderness infested with spiked grass... |

8) Warwick Castle 12/04/2000 10:41:00 PM
The next day I went to Warwick Castle. The castle was impressive and so was the rain. The archer was awesome. The Welsh guy causally picked up a few arrows and hit almost all the targets. He also told the story for the battle of Argencold (wrong spelling). |
9) St Paul 12/04/2000 10:41:50 PM
The next day I returned to London. This is the St Paul's Church. A flight of "heart-attack" stairs led to the view from above. |
10) Tower Of London 12/04/2000 10:42:10 PM
This is the Tower of London where the Royal family used to live. They kept some ravens there. Once was a prophecy: if the ravens ever left the tower, it would mark the end of the royalist in England. Poor ravens. They were never set free.
The tower also has some bloody history where a noble was murdered and a queen was beheaded. While it also possesses some expensive show off like the "Star of Africa", the biggest diamond in the world. |
11) Tower Bridge 12/04/2000 10:42:26 PM
The Tower Bridge. That same night I took a walk from London Bridge to the Tower Bridge at around 11:00pm. It made me missed the tube, but that was the second most wonderful thing I have done in this trip. (The most wonderful thing was watching cows making love in the Austrian countryside). |
12) Theatre Royal Durby 12/04/2000 10:43:00 PM
I watched the "Miss Saigon" in this theather. It was impressive for the price of 15 pounds. |
13) Windsor Palace 12/04/2000 10:43:20 PM
The next day I went to Windsor Palace. It was close to the airport (you can take a bus from the airport to Windsor). I still need to catch my plane at around 4:00pm. But I did enjoy my time in Windsor. |
14) Heathrow 12/04/2000 10:44:06 PM
Heathrow wasn't as bad as I expected. At least the planes more organized than the bookcase in my room. |
