1) Pachena Beach Crabs
 I wander around the Pachena beach waiting for the visitor center to open. It opened at around 9:30am. After a mandatory 30 minutes briefing, I started my trail on Sunday 10:30am June 22nd 2003 from Pachena Beach Trail Head. |

4) Michigan Steamship
Michigan steam chimney. In the early 1900's, if a ship wanted to commit suicide, they would probably choose the West Coast Trail area. It has nice views and dangerous rocks, best way to end a ship's life. Thus it's called the graveyard of the West Coast. |

5) Tidal Pool
Tidal pool or similar things. Often you can find some sea life inside, if not, at least you can find your own image printed on the water surface. |

6) Tsusiat Fall
Arrive Tsusiat fall at around 8:00pm. I camped at Tsusiat Fall. It was a very good camp site. Tsusiat means ("Water fall") so "Tsusiat Fall" means "Water Fall Fall". |

7) Giant Waves
Waves of West Coast Trail, now I see how the ships sank. Hike along the beach, one need to take care of the tide table. But most of them have generous allowance except for Owen Point which is only passable below 1.8 meter (but it has a nice and easy inland alternative). |

8) German Hikers Going To Tsusiat Point
The four German hikers pass everyone and set out for the Tsusiat Point. They walked very fast. |

A father and daughter team from Victoria lagged behind me first but soon passed me because I was tired from yesterday's walking. |

10) Bird Attack
I walked close to the birds and they tried to attack me. Wow, they are fierce. I probably accidentally stepped into their private properties. |

The view along the beach side is always beautiful. |

15) Dare Beach
Walking on the beach is easy and relaxing. My walking stick seemed more of a burden than helping. |

16) Sandra
Sandra is Monique's daughter. She is building a house near Monique's house. She didn't seem to mind living along the beach. The Nacho was nice. Some kids from Victoria helped me to finish that. |

19) Beach Walk On A Fine Day
The Father and Daughter team walked ahead of me (they woke up way earlier). I didn't mind walking slowly, the view was nice. |

20) My Tent Looking At The Cave
I think Walbran creek is the best camp site. I got a very nice view of the cave. It's better than any hotels. So far, my walking sticks hadn't been useful (before Walbran, they were simply dead weights). My gators had already been fully utilized. There's no shortage of muds along the trail. |

23) Going Up Numerous Ladders At Cullite
Climbing up the many ladders along Cullite creek. They are not too bad. Ladders are much nicer to climb than steps. |

Crows are aggressive. They have evolved into a stage that's capbable of opening closed backpacks. |

I missed the tide when crossing Owen Point, so I trace back after setting up my camp at Thrasher Cove. |

Finally I reached the goal on Friday 2:15pm June 27th, 2003. A six day trip is done. |

After I checked in to the motel and taking a shower, I wander around Port Renfrew, looking at the boats. |
