It used to be the temple of the sun. After the Spanish conquered the Incas, it became the San Domingo Church. They built the church above he structure for the temple of the sun. After the earthquake, some part of the colonial structures collapsed but the original was intact.

Someone did a research, they interpret several holy places in the world which also translate to the meaning of "center of the world" (Cuzco means the naval of the world), and it happens that they can draw a triangle with the Egyptian pyramid at its center.
