Turkey
A week after my trip and my memory had already faded.
I have slept ten thousands nights in the past. So many nights, so many dreams, yet I remembered not one of them. My life, when it eventually drives to its ending, will be obliterated into another lost dream.

Syria
Dawn, wild dogs barked in the background. The barks echoed around the ruins, from directions that could not be identified.
I was afraid to move, but not of getting bitten by the dogs. I was worried: if I took the wrong step, I might send myself to the circle of the wild dogs and brought misfortune to myself that could have been avoided -- So I was afraid of making decisions, not the dogs.

Jordan
On the top of Umm Biyara, I owned the whole mountain.
I shared the top with the lamentable ghosts of Sela instead of the annoying camel riders and with the one who doesn't sleep nor slumber instead of the one who sell cold drinks.

Egypt
I overheard the conversation of the Columbian soldier at the temple of Philae: "What I enjoy most are not the great temples or the infallible wonders, they are all nice and impressive, but I like something much simpler, like sitting on a boat watching the river flows
"
There're things I have to do and there're things I like to do. I guess I have to visit the Pyramids but what I like most is walking into the desert by myself, climbing an unnamed hill and watching the sun lazily dropping into the horizon.

From Istanbul to Cairo
Tavel with my shadow...
I traveled with my shadow
to far and unknown places,
wandering pass long lost ruins,
straddling through crumpled walls,
the sky is my sleeping bag,
the earth is my camp,
as long as there's luxury buses
with air-conditioning,
and budget hotels
with reasonable prices,
I will always be
a happy camper.....
