Climbing the Pyramid:
Climbing the Pyramid is forbidden but possible (dangerous too).
Here's how you can do it:
Stay at the desert area behind Menkaure (the smallest
pyramid) until around 4:30pm or after eveyone left.
Walked to Menkaure and wander around. Soon a guard will
come by and chat with you. So chat with him.
If he smells your money, then he will offer
you a chance to climb the pyramid. Refuse at first
unless you are willing to pay 100p. After he spent
conseiderable amount of effort to convince you, you
should consent for a try. He will take you to
the manager of the guards. Bargain with him.
Tell him you are a poor student and can only afford
five pounds. You will reach a final price of 20p.
Then he will
climb with you (and tried to get some tips from you,
give him 2p and be nice).
Warning: It's not difficult to kill yourself if you
are not careful, consider that is the reason why
they forbid people climbing it at the first place.
You don't want to be in the "Stupid Tourist Hall of
Fame" for killing yourself on the pyramid. Imagine how
embarrsing it would be if someone 100 years later
sees on the pyramid: "Mr. so and so was killed
when climbing the pyramid". If you are not comfortable
about climbing, don't try. |
